Dr. Kajanan Kanathipan received his B.Eng from York University in April 2017. He was a member of the Dean’s Honour Roll from 2014 to 2017. In 2015 he was a recipient of the Lassonde Undergraduate Research Award. In 2016 he was awarded the NSERC USRA and worked on a fast maximum power extraction technique for hybrid renewable energy systems. He received his M.A.Sc and Ph.D degrees from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Lassonde School of Engineering at York University in 2019 and 2024 respectively. He received the “Outstanding Presenter Award” in the IEEE APEC in 2019. He was a recipient of the Ontario Graduate Scholarship in 2019, 2021, and 2022. His research interests include: power electronics and control in photovoltaic energy systems, power converters and power management. He is the author of more than 25 IEEE transactions/journals and conference publications.
