Biography:

Dr. John Lam received his B.Sc, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Queen's University in 2003, 2006 and 2010, respectively.  He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at York University, Toronto.  He is an IEEE Senior Member.  His research interests include high frequency power converters with soft-switching techniques, wide-bandgap based power electronics, renewable energy applications, power management and advanced control techniques for high frequency converters.
